Biography

Pupil of Poelenborgh. He was admitted to the Utrecht guild in 1639. He painted landscapes and mythological subjects in collaboration with Carel de Hooch, P. van Hattich and Rombout van Troyen. An artist by the name of Jan van Cuylenburg, who was a member of the Utrecht guild from 1658 to 1661, is often identified with this artist. Comment on works: History; Figures with Landscapes
