Biography
Known mostly for his small gilded bronzes, Ladatte was of Italian birth but educated in the French academic system. He won the 'Prix de Rome' in 1729, but went there only briefly. Instead, he spent two years in Turin working with Pietro Pieffetti, returning to Paris in 1734, where he exhibited regularly at the Salon. Comment on works: Sculptor; Engraver
