About Gainsborough Dupont

1754–1797

Nephew and only assistant of Thomas Gainsborough. He completed some of his uncle's works left unfinished at his death and he made copies and mezzotints of the paintings also. His original paintings are in a similar style, notably several portraits of actors. Comment on works: Portraits; Landscapes
