About Cornelis Saftleven

1607–1681Dutch Republic

Cornelis Saftleven was the brother and pupil of Herman Saftleven the younger. He married Catharina Dirksz. van der Heyde in 1649, and lived in Rotterdam from 1648 to 1674. He married his second wife, Elisabeth van der Avondt, in 1655, and was appointed director of the Rotterdam guild in 1667.
