At the beginning of his career, Izaack imitated his brother's style, and worked in the peasant genre. He then adopted a genre of his own and painted landscapes, especially winter scenes. In his later works he achieved a renowned pictorial quality. Comment on works: Landscapes; Scenes of Winter
