Biography
Died early November 1658, in Rotterdam. Painter, draughtsman (including red chalk). Religious subjects, genre scenes, village scenes, interiors with figures, landscapes. Was married three times, but had only one son, also named Pieter, who died on 17 November 1652. He was highly regarded during his life for his religious paintings and especially his genre scenes.
