Frequently Asked Questions
Is Artheon free to use?
Yes! Artheon is completely free. Our mission is to make art accessible to everyone. You can explore, create collections, and build exhibitions without any cost.
How does AI Flow work?
AI Flow uses advanced computer vision (CLIP embeddings) to understand the visual characteristics of artworks. When you enter Flow mode, the AI finds visually similar works across our entire collection, regardless of medium, period, or museum.
Can I use these artworks freely?
Yes! We exclusively feature artworks that are in the Public Domain or licensed under CC0 (Creative Commons Zero). Every artwork in our collection has been explicitly marked and published as such by the source museums themselves. This means you can use them for research, education, or personal projects without copyright restrictions.
How do I create a virtual exhibition?
Sign up for a free account, then go to Exhibitions and click "Create Exhibition." Add artworks from our collection, arrange them in your virtual gallery, and share your exhibition with others.
Which museums are included?
We aggregate collections from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rijksmuseum, National Gallery of Art, Art Institute of Chicago, Smithsonian, Belvedere, and more. Our collection is constantly growing.
Do I need VR equipment?
No! While Artheon started as a VR museum, our 3D galleries work directly in your browser on any device. VR headsets are supported but not required.
