This stone tool represents an atypical Levallois point created during the Middle Paleolithic period, approximately 240,000 to 40,000 years ago. The artifact exhibits the characteristic features of Levallois technology, including a multifaceted platform with an external platform angle close to ninety degrees and a small amount of cortex (the original outer surface of the stone) preserved along the right lateral margin.
