Zestiende deel (centrale kaart, deel linksonder) van een prent van het beleg van het hugenotenbolwerk La Rochelle in de jaren 1627 en 1628, dat werd uitgevoerd in opdracht van de Franse koning door het Franse leger onder aanvoering van kardinaal Richelieu. Op dit blad een deel van het gebied om La Rochelle heen, bevolkt door vele figuurtjes. Hier en daar zijn belegeringswerken (schansen, versterkingen, wallen e.d.) herkenbaar. Op de voorgrond en rechts vele schepen voor de kust.
