In 1830-1833 werd de publicatie 'Voyage de la corvette l'Astrolabe exécuté par ordre du roi, pendant les années 1826-1827-1828-1829 (...)' in zeventien delen uitgegeven door J. Tastu in Parijs. De auteur van dit verslag van een Franse expeditie met het schip 'l'Astrolabe' was J. Dumont d'Urville. De publicatie was verrijkt met illustraties van verschillende lithografen, naar ontwerp van Louis-Auguste de Sainson, die zelf had deelgenomen aan de expeditie.
