Son of Johann Daffinger (died 1796), who was a painter at the Kaiserliche Porzellanmanufaktur in Vienna. Son of Johann Daffinger (died 1796), who was a painter at the Kaiserliche Porzellanmanufaktur in Vienna. Daffinger became one of the most sought after portraitists in Vienna and was friends with many influential people in the arts and sciences.
