Gezicht op de Piazza Santa Croce in Florence, waar enkele praalwagens en vele soldaten te voet en te paard paraderen voor toeschouwers, die op in ovaalvorm geplaatst tribunes zitten. Deze optocht vond plaats tijdens het feest 'Guerra di Bellezza', dat Cosimo II de' Medici in 1616 in Florence gaf ter gelegenheid van de komst van Federico della Rovere, de vorst van Urbino en de verloofde van zijn zus Claudia.
