Gilles Neyts created this delicate etching, *Landscape with Tobias and the Angel*, during the first half of the seventeenth century. Working in the Flemish tradition, Neyts specialized in small-scale landscape prints that combined natural scenery with biblical narratives. The scene depicts the young Tobias, guided by the archangel Raphael, a story drawn from the Book of Tobit that was popular in Northern European art for its themes of protection and divine companionship.
