Visitors to the National Gallery of Art's Woodner Collection will encounter *L'Intelligence Fut A! Je Devins Le* (1938), a lithograph created by Symbolist master Odilon Redon, printed by Georges Aubert after Redon's design, and inspired by Gustave Flaubert's novel *The Temptation Saint Antony*. This posthumous edition—Redon passed away in 1916—revives one of the artist's ethereal illustrations from his 1888–1896 series for Flaubert's hallucinatory text, where a character's ecstatic enlightenment evokes Buddhist transcendence.
