About Pietro Tacca

1577–1640

Tacca was a skilled bronze caster and marble carver who worked in the Mannerist style of Giambologna. He was granted the use for his lifetime of Giambologna studio by Cosimo II in 1616 and later served Ferdinand II as court artist in Spain. Comment on works: sculptor
