About this artwork
The New York firm Tiffany and Company was founded in the mid-19th century and quickly became world renowned. This teakettle was created for the 1878 Exposition Universelle in Paris and was most likely designed by Edward C. Moore (American, 1827–1891). Twelve years later, the firm produced the accompanying stand.
