Will Barnet, born on May 25, 1911, in Beverly, Massachusetts, discovered his passion for art by age ten, inspired by the harbor views and simple joys of childhood. The son of Russian immigrant Noah Barnet, a machinist in a shoe factory, he began formal training at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston from 1927 to 1930, studying under Philip Leslie Hale and observing John Singer Sargent ...
