Landscape and botanical sketch showing a view of two birch trees in the woods of Vermont during Autumn. Visible just beyond a bush's red and yellow leaves at lower right, the trunks of these twin white-barked trees are rendered in great detail as they extend out of view. Shadows of the bush's leaves and one of the tree's branches are deftly rendered upon their white bark.
