Christus staat op het water en geeft Petrus, die in de golven dreigt te verzinken, een hand. Vanuit een boot kijken de andere discipelen toe. Deze prent is onderdeel van (de tweede staat van) een serie van 29 voorstellingen van schilderijen en sculpturen in kerken te Rome, genummerd 1-16 en 1-13.
