Op de voorgrond tast Elymas blind om zich heen. Gouverneur Sergius Paulus zit op zijn troon met om hem heen zijn officieren die de fasces vasthouden. Paulus staat rechts vooraan met zijn arm uitgestrekt. Op de troon een vijfregelige tekst in het Latijn.

Agostino Veneziano, born Agostino de' Musi around 1490 in Venice, received his initial artistic training there, though his primary teacher remains unknown.
