About the Artist
Adam Frans van der Meulen · 1632–1690
Flemish painter and draughtsman, active also in France. He was the eldest son of the seven children of Pieter van der Meulen and his second wife Marie van Steen Wegen. He was baptized 11 January 1632 (the date of birth is unknown). He was known for genre and history scenes, in Brussels and in the court in Paris after 1664.
