John Wieners for me among top ten American poets visiting my room Park Plaza Hotel, Boston. We'd met 3 decades earlier at Cedar Bar, N.Y.-- Robert Creeley & Frank O'Hara both admired / his gifts then, _Hotel Wentley Poems_ were published 1958 - - but none of his books were in print at the time of this visit February 1, 1985. Since then Raymond Foye edited 2 volumes-- all Wieners' Poetry -- For Black Sparrow Press.
