About this artwork

Bodemvondst: opgebaggerd uit de Maas bij Linne (Limburg). Volgens een archieffoto was er destijds een koperen of ijzeren hengsel aangebracht om de twee uitstekende delen. Dit onderdeel was zeker niet oorspronkelijk. Het kan een aanwijzing zijn, dat ook de hengselaanzetten in de vorm van dierfiguren toevoegingen uit latere tijd zijn.
