About this artwork
Man in oosterse kleding te paard houdt een karabijngeweer vast. Op zijn hoofd draagt hij een tulband. Het paard met lange krullende manen en staart loopt naar links in een rotsachtig landschap met een lage horizon. Het blad dun chinees papier dat de kunstenaar voor deze techniek (chine collé) gebruikte is bij deze afdruk met een etsplaat scheef op het ondersteunende stevige blad terecht gekomen.
