Links de in zwijm vallende Maria onder de armen opgevangen door twee heilige vrouwen, rechts Johannes met een boek, gebarend met de rechterhand, en meer op de achtergrond twee farizeeërs van wie een naar Christus wijst. Aan beide zijden van Christus zon en maan.
