About this artwork
This statuette takes the form of a seated male figure, nude but for a large headdress or hat with a yellow and red–striped ribbon beneath it. The ends of the ribbon trail down over each shoulder. In his right hand he holds a pitcher, and his left arm is missing below the shoulder. His entire body is painted a pinkish red over a white slip.
