De 'Vasi'-reeks telt 110 prenten, verspreid over twee volumes met elk een eigen titelprent. Piranesi werd voor deze reeks geholpen door verschillende assistenten uit zijn werkplaats, waaronder zijn zoon Francesco die ook nog eens 8 platen toevoegde aan de reeks in 1779-1780.
