How to Publish a 3D Model

Sculptures, scans, and born-digital 3D work get a full interactive viewer on Artheon: visitors can orbit, zoom, and inspect the piece from every side, and you can place it inside a 3D gallery.

You will need

  • A free Artheon account
  • A model in GLB or glTF format, up to 100 MB. GLB (a single file with textures included) is the safest choice.
  1. 1

Open the Upload page and switch to the 3D Model tab

Sign in and go to artheonmuseum.org/upload. Select the 3D Model tab — it accepts .glb and .gltf files up to 100 MB.

Exporting from Blender? Use File → Export → glTF 2.0 and keep the default GLB format. Most photogrammetry tools (Polycam, RealityScan) export GLB directly.

  2. 2

Add the model and check the preview

After the file uploads, Artheon renders a thumbnail from the model automatically. You can adjust the preview angle so the card shows the piece at its best.

  3. 3

Credit the maker — and the scanner

Fill in the title, description, and attribution. If you scanned someone else’s sculpture, the attribution field is where the scan creator and the original artist are both credited — provenance matters here as much as in the classical wings.

  4. 4

    Choose a license and publish

Pick a Creative Commons license just like for images, then click Upload. The model goes live with its own page and interactive viewer.

Your model can now be placed in any 3D gallery — walk-through spaces where visitors see it at real scale. Try building one around it.
