In upper half of composition, figures of women stand at a railing and watch the fishermen and the sea; at left is a house with a hipped roof and porch; beyond the railing, four dories are drawn up on beach. Framing lines. In lower half: details of three women [in a grouping similar to the one on the verso], and one dory with color notations. Verso: drawn in opposite direction: three women and a child stand behind a railing; in background are dories, heads of fishermen, sea.
